Must try harder

Wow, it has been such a busy few weeks that I have not been able to update our blog - I must try harder!

A quick summary of what has been going on at Strange Fruit HQ.

1)  We have a fabulous business mentor. Leanne Hewitt is a florist and also has a security company.  She also has two small children.  I am hoping that she is able to educate me in when I am supposed to sleep!!  We were really lucky to be offered our mentor via the Start Up Britian campaign and The Supper Club.

2)  New stockists are coming along slowly but often enough for us to be excited and the stockists that are forward thinking enough to stock our diverse cards are selling out which is amazing.   We have a couple of exciting pitches coming in the next few weeks, we'll be sure to keep you updated.

Our newist stockists is In Spitalfields, 13 Lamb Street, London, E1 6EQ and we are now listed on Wowthankyou an exciting online gift shop.

If you've read this far, I hope that you won't mind taking our short survey.  It will only take 5 minutes and will help shape the way we develop Strange Fruit.  There is a chance to win a set of our cards too.  http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/KG6HMMG

I will try to do better, promise!

Denise

We have a new best friend, Strange Fruit Vintage

Strange Fruit Vintage are over in the States, we emailed them all about Strange Fruit, they sent us back an email so special I thought I'd share it ...

"Well isn't this just the cutest email ever?! I love your explanation of Strange Fruit on your website.  I live in the south and people often are confused by my use of "Strange Fruit" when it should have such of negative connotation.  I, like you guys, are paying homage to how far we've come as a society. In addition, my goal is to redefine what the "fruit" is in the south. It's writers, artists, painters, poets, etc. worthy of life and growth and love for our creativity not our skin.

Maybe one day we can collaborate, wouldn't that be wonderful!"

Think I am going to get all the Strange Fruits of the world together!!

Yay, Happy New Year

Hope you all party like its the 1950's and this cool bunch we found on 'The Square American Snapshot'

Amy has done us proud

Our new range of childrens cards are on the way.  Amy, one of the artists we've worked, with has created a range of cards using her lovely simple childlike illustrations.  We love them.

One of the images from our childrens cards coming in Jan.

Looking forward to a business breakfast with Tim Cambell this week!!!
